superman cape

as the sun remain shining brightly outside,
the heart beats like a storm passing by this small town,
restless from anxiety,
nervous from worries,
will you tell me that you are doing okay over there?
if superman gives his cape,
i'd fly over there in a heartbeat.
but for now,
freeing this bird from his pearl white cage,
embroidered in gold columns,
i send with it a hug and a kiss of healing.
